- Pay: £175 – £250 per day (dependent on experience)
A secondary school with sixth form in Walsall is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business & Economics Teacher to join its successful department from September 2026 on a long‑term supply basis. The successful candidate will teach Business Studies and Economics across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons that develop students' understanding of business operations, finance, marketing, enterprise, economic theory, and current affairs.
You will support students in preparing for GCSE and A‑Level examinations while encouraging them to apply their knowledge to real‑world business and economic issues. Working as part of a supportive department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high‑quality lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will inspire students to develop analytical, evaluative, and problem‑solving skills while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
Candidate
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at KS4 and KS5
- Be confident delivering GCSE and A‑Level Business and Economics
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed to raising standards and supporting student progress
- Have a passion for Business and Economics and preparing students for further education and future careers
