As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will provide dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with additional educational needs within the classroom. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will help the child access the curriculum, promote independence, and support their social, emotional, and academic development throughout the school day.

• Provide consistent one-to-one support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs.
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver personalised learning activities tailored to the child's individual needs.
• Adapt learning resources and classroom activities to maximise engagement and accessibility.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, communication, and social interaction.
• Support the child's emotional wellbeing while helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, carers, and external professionals to support the pupil's progress and development.
• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCO where appropriate.

• A genuine passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN (desirable but not essential).
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a school setting.
