Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hrs per wk
Location:
Walsall (Bloxwich) (Travel will be involved to visit learners in placements)
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum, (depending on experience, skills & qualifications)
About the roleAs an Early Years Tutor, you will deliver the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners in accordance with the Education Inspection Framework (2019). Your primary responsibility is to create an overall learning experience that prepares learners for adulthood and employment, helping them develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete their vocational qualification while achieving company targets and individual performance plans.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners to learners.
- Observe and assess learners in the Early Years Setting against the qualification standard.
- Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and prepare lesson plans before sessions, ensuring alignment with overarching curriculum plans.
- Ensure learners have access to contextualised employment and personal skills sessions.
- Manage learner behaviour in the classroom, both online and at company premises, applying appropriate measures in cases of misbehaviour.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS, or equivalent; minimum Level
3). - TA element or TAQA (or A1 equivalent).
- Minimum Level 3 in Early Years.
- A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14‑19 provision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise under pressure.
- Strong organisational, accuracy and attention‑to‑detail skills; IT literate.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- 25 days holiday entitlement, increasing to 30 with length of service.
- Day off for your birthday.
- Optional Early Finish on Fridays at 2.30pm.
