EYFS Teaching Assistant

Early Years Practitioner

We are looking for an early years practitioner to work within a 2‑year‑old provision in Walsall. The role is scheduled 5 days a week, from 8:30 to 12:30, and involves personal care such as nappy changing. You will work alongside another practitioner and support seven 2‑year‑old children.

For this early years role, you must hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification at a minimum. A Teaching Assistant qualification does not count towards the required ratios.

• Level 3+ Teaching Assistant Qualification (NVQ/CACHE preferable)
• An enthusiastic, well‑motivated and talented classroom practitioner
• Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum
• Recent primary school experience within the last 3 years
• Right to Work in the UK
• Clear Enhanced Child Workforce on the Update Service (if you do not have this, we will require you to apply for a new DBS)
• Able to provide at least 2 references covering a minimum of 2 years
• Strong EYFS knowledge

• £100 bonus after you have worked 10 days
• £250 recommendation bonus once you have referred somebody to Aspire People and they work 20 days
