Following a successful first year, Shire Oak Academy is seeking to appoint an Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator to lead and further develop our Attendance & Reintegration Hub. The Hub has become a cornerstone of our inclusive provision, supporting some of our most vulnerable learners to re-engage with education, improve attendance and develop a stronger sense of belonging within school.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to take ownership of a provision that is already making a significant difference. Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies, the successful candidate will lead reintegration strategies, coordinate targeted support and help shape the next phase of the Hub's development.
The role requires someone who can build strong relationships, inspire confidence, and champion the needs of vulnerable students. By leading a provision centred on wellbeing, belonging and engagement, the Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every young person has the support, confidence and opportunities needed to thrive in school and beyond.

We are looking for an Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to Assistant Headteacher (Attendance), you will undertake:
Key responsibilities:- Lead and manage the reintegration process for students returning after periods of absence, ensuring they are supported academically, emotionally, and socially.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with students and their families to foster trust, encourage regular attendance, and support reintegration.
- Co-ordinate and liaise with teaching staff to ensure catch-up work is organised and accessible for reintegrating students.
- Support students with the guided completion of core subject work, particularly in Maths and English.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions to support student wellbeing, engagement, and attendance.
- Identify individual barriers to attendance through direct work with students and families and develop strategies to address them.
