Job Description

We are recruiting for one full‑time (37.5 hours/week) Tutor to join a supportive team dedicated to helping young people with learning disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism access the world of work. As a Tutor you will focus on the delivery of the educational element of Supported Internship programmes and help learners develop essential life and employability skills.

• Design and deliver dynamic, engaging lessons that integrate English and math into real‑world employability skills.
• Equip learners with practical life skills to navigate their communities with confidence and independence.
• Create innovative and fun lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning.
• Collaborate closely with team members to provide holistic support and help learners secure paid employment.
• Teach accredited functional skills in English and Maths to prepare learners for future success.
• Use one full day each week for planning and administrative tasks, ensuring the best possible support to your learners.

• A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS) is preferred; a Level 3 qualification with willingness to undertake a Level 5 qualification post‑probation will also be considered.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above.
• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, learning difficulties, and/or autism.
• Experience delivering functional skills in English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Proven ability to deliver against targets and KPIs.
• Experience working with a diverse range of learners.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
