SEN Teaching Assistant

Location - Stockport

Pay - £95-£110 per day, depending on experience

Start Date - 03/09/2026

Contract Type - Temp to Perm

Are you a calm and compassionate teaching assistant, with experience supporting complex needs? We are currently working with a large SEN provision in Stockport, to recruit experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join the team in September.

The school is a specialist college, who support pupils aged between 19-25, with complex needs.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis, providing both emotional and sensory support
  • Maintain regular communication with staff, parents and external agencies to monitor progress and development
  • Prepare engaging learning resources
Requirements:
  • A Level 3 Diploma, or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • Previous work experience supporting complex needs within a school or care setting is preferred
  • A calm, compassionate nature
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER
