Hays Education is working with a secondary school in Walsall that is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support students within its Alternative Provision. This is a funded role supporting young people who may be struggling to access mainstream education due to social, emotional or behavioural barriers.

The school isn't simply looking for someone to supervise students.

You’ll be supporting students who may have:

• SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
• ADHD
• Attendance challenges
• Gaps in learning and confidence

• Supporting students on a one-to-one basis
• Working with small intervention groups
• Helping pupils engage positively with learning
• Acting as a positive role model throughout the school day
• Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing
• Promoting positive behaviour and resilience
• Helping students develop confidence both inside and outside the classroom
