Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values increasing opportunities, improving outcomes for our students. We are looking for a HLTA to join our team. Reporting to the PLC Manager you will undertake:

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Personal Learning Centre (PLC).
• Deliver learning activities and teaching sessions to small groups and individual students.
• Plan and prepare targeted interventions to support student progress.
• Support students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs.
• Work closely with the PLC Manager and wider school staff to meet individual student needs.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and external agencies.
• Monitor student engagement, attendance and wellbeing.
• Promote inclusion and help students successfully reintegrate into mainstream school where appropriate.

Grade 6 SCP 15-23

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience working at Higher Level Teaching Assistant level.
• Relevant safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
• First Aid qualification desirable.

• Experience of working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with social, emotional, behavioural or learning needs.
• Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities and interventions.
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to motivate, engage and inspire young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external agencies.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and monitor student progress.
• Resilient, adaptable and committed to promoting inclusion and positive outcomes for all students.
