Leamore Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team from September 2026, on a fixed-term basis until 31 August 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and dedicated team within an Early Years provision that was judged Strong by Ofsted.

Our children thrive in a calm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, happy and confident.

Communication, language and early reading are at the heart of our provision. Songs, rhymes, stories and conversations are embedded throughout the day, with staff skilfully supporting children to develop their vocabulary, share their ideas and ask questions. Our engaging curriculum promotes independence, curiosity and a genuine love of learning.

We are particularly proud of the way our team knows our children as individuals and carefully monitors their learning and development.

We also place great importance on working closely with our families, welcoming parents and carers into school through workshops and opportunities to become involved in their child's learning.

Could you be the next member of our team?

We are looking for someone who:
  • is warm, caring and enthusiastic about working with young children;
  • understands the importance of high-quality interactions and learning through play;
  • can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues;
  • is committed to helping every child develop confidence and independence;
  • is enthusiastic about supporting early communication, language, reading and writing;
  • is flexible, hardworking and willing to contribute fully to our Early Years team;
  • wants to make a genuine difference to the children and families within our Leamore community.

You will be joining a friendly, hardworking and supportive team where children are at the heart of everything we do.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff & volunteers to share this commitment.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
