HLTA, Elementary School, Education ​/ Teaching

We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the WV11 area. This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be comfortable covering lessons across all primary year groups and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential. This role would suit an established HLTA or an aspiring teacher/ECT looking to gain valuable classroom experience without the pressures of a full-time teaching position.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 when required.
• Support teaching and learning across a range of primary year groups.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and engagement.
• Work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupil progress.
• Adapt confidently to different classes and learning needs.

• HLTA status or equivalent classroom experience.
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Confidence leading whole-class lessons across all primary age ranges.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• A flexible, proactive, and positive approach to supporting learning.
