🏗️ Tier 1 Infrastructure Contractor | Long-Term Framework Work
We are currently working with a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to recruit an experienced Site Engineer to support a portfolio of major infrastructure projects across the UK.
This contractor is a privately owned business with over 40 years’ experience, operating across multiple sectors including water, transport, energy and the built environment. They deliver work through long-term frameworks, joint ventures and alliances, and are well known for their direct delivery model and strong people-first culture.
The Role
The Site Engineer will provide site engineering support across regional projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment
* Promote safe working practices and comply with company procedures
* Ensure works are delivered in line with legal and environmental requirements
Quality
* Promote best practice and quality standards
* Ensure works are delivered defect/snagger-free
* Identify and raise value engineering opportunities
Site Engineering
* Establish level and survey control for projects
* Set out works in accordance with contract drawings
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation
* Resolve technical issues as they arise
* Produce ITPs, task briefings, site diaries and allocation sheets
* Prepare procurement schedules and liaise with procurement teams
* Produce 2-week look-ahead programmes with the Site Agent
About You
Essential
* Previous experience setting out on civil engineering projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, H&S and regulations
* Competent using robotic total stations / EDM equipment
* Degree, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
Desirable
* AutoCAD and MS Office experience
* Temporary Works Coordinator experience
* CSCS card
* CAT & Genny / Cable Avoidance
* First Aid
* NEBOSH or IOSH
