STA​/Quality Engineer

Position: STA / Quality Engineer
Location: Willenhall

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer with strong Supplier Quality / STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) experience to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Willenhall.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a background in manufacturing environments and supplier development to play a key role in driving quality standards across the supply chain and production operations.

Will be a split between on site and supplier visits across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier development activities
Conduct supplier audits, investigations, and corrective actions using 8D methodology
Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis activities
Work closely with manufacturing, production, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
Support new product introduction and supplier approval processes
Ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across suppliers and internal processes

Requirements:
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, or STA Engineer role
Strong manufacturing background
Good understanding of core quality tools: PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, 8D
Experience dealing directly with suppliers and customer quality requirements
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Automotive or precision engineering experience would be advantageous
