The RoleWe are looking for a motivated Graduate Project Engineer to join our Energy, Carbon & Resilience team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or early‑career engineer who wants hands‑on experience, structured training and exposure to real projects within the clean and recycled water industries. Reporting to the Energy, Carbon & Resilience Manager, you will support the identification and delivery of energy efficiency and system optimisation projects while developing your technical and professional skills.
Responsibilities- Carry out site surveys, including pump performance and system testing.
- Analyse and report on survey findings.
- Identify system optimisation and energy efficiency opportunities.
- Assess pump replacement or refurbishment options.
- Complete cost analysis and calculate payback periods.
- Work directly with client representatives on live sites.
- Contribute to IWS and client Health & Safety initiatives.
- Produce high‑quality technical reports and documentation.
- Qualified to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering discipline or have completed an apprenticeship.
- Motivated, organised and able to work independently.
- Keen to develop your technical and professional skills.
- IT‑literate, with confidence using Microsoft Office.
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail‑focused, with the ability to produce high‑quality documentation.
- Happy to work in a target‑driven environment.
