Legal Cashier

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Legal Cashier to join a dynamic law firm's finance department in Walsall. This role is perfect for individuals seeking to enhance their career in legal finance, providing essential support within a structured and professional environment.

• Taking receipts from clients, issuing receipts, and managing transactions both onsite and over the telephone.
• Monitoring HSBCnet for payments received and allocating them to client ledgers.
• Handling daily banking responsibilities, including preparing and depositing the daily banking.
• Posting transactions to ledgers, including receipts and payments.
• Generating weekly new matter reports and preparing Priority and BACS payments on HSBCnet.
• Processing cheque requests and preparing client and time ledger breakdowns.
• Ensuring accurate completion statements, processing client and purchase ledger invoices, and preparing payment runs.
• Providing general coverage for team members in their absence and completing additional tasks as specified by the Finance Manager or Practice Director.
• 2 years of experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm.
• Proficiency in Excel and excellent IT skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to explain financial matters clearly.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
