Senior Finance Officer

This Senior Finance Officer post sits in the Financial Management function of Financial Services at Halton Borough Council, supporting a wide range of operational departments. The role covers the full annual financial cycle, from setting budgets and monitoring the outturn position to closing accounts at year-end. What sets it apart is the need for proven accounting knowledge of schools funding, gained in recent local government or health finance work.

AAT membership, or part-qualified CCAB status or equivalent, is required.

• Recent relevant experience in local government or health finance

• Able to plan and prioritise own work
