Lecturer in Occupational Therapy

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist within the Department of Allied Health to support and facilitate learners throughout their studies to become an Occupational Therapist via the direct entry, apprenticeship and Masters routes to qualification.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation and delivery of teaching and learning activities on various aspects of the courses, including delivery of skills, personal tutoring, assessment, and support of students in placement.
  • Commitment to innovative teaching and research activities within Occupational Therapy to contribute to the OT portfolio and the profile of the faculty.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of occupational therapy practice and familiarity with the requirements of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Formal teaching experience preferred, but not essential; applicants without a teaching qualification should be expected to work towards one and commit to achieving Fellowship with Advance HE if not already recognised.
  • Relevant professional qualification or undergraduate degree and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as an Occupational Therapist is essential.

Full‑time, permanent post based at the Walsall Campus, with cross‑campus travel and travel to practice placement areas expected at times.
