CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist Stevenage - 5 days on site £800 a day Inside IR35 Requires Active SC Clearance and a sole UK nationality The Opportunity We are seeking a CMDB Application Developer & Reporting Specialist to support a major Defence customer by developing and maintaining a centralised CMDB solution that underpins critical IT Service Management and Digital Workplace services.

You will be responsible for building and improving CMDB applications, automating data collection, integrating multiple technology sources, and delivering insightful dashboards and KPI reporting. The role will play a vital part in improving service visibility, governance, operational performance, and decision-making across secure and complex environments.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain CMDB applications and workflows. Create user-friendly interfaces for Configuration Item (CI) management. Integrate infrastructure, asset, application and service data through APIs and automated processes. Develop CMDB data models, service mapping capabilities, and governance controls. Ensure CMDB data accuracy, completeness and compliance. Build executive and operational dashboards using modern reporting tools. Develop KPI, SLA and performance reporting frameworks.

Implement automated notifications, reporting schedules and exception management. Support continuous service improvement through analytic and automation. Essential Skills & Experience 3 year's application development experience. Strong database design and SQL knowledge.

Experience with REST API integration and data modelling. Dashboard, reporting and KPI development experience. Knowledge of CMDB, ITIL and Configuration Management processes. Experience working within enterprise-scale IT environments. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Skills Google App Sheet, Apps Script, Big Query and Looker Studio. Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI. Remedy CMDB or Service Now CMDB. Python and JavaScript.

ETL and data integration technologies. Asset Management, Service Mapping and Data Governance experience. Ideal Background Defence, Government or highly regulated environments. Digital Workplace and enterprise infrastructure programmes. Large, multi-supplier service delivery environments. Aerospace or secure technology organisations.
