Maintenance Team Lead
Willenhall, West Midlands
£38,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + On-Call Payments + Excellent Benefits
Permanent | Full Time
A successful and well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to join its operation in Willenhall. This role is ideal for a hands-on senior maintenance engineer or engineering supervisor looking to take the next step into a team leadership position while remaining actively involved in day-to-day maintenance activities.
The Role
The Maintenance Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment across the site. The role will involve leading and coordinating a small maintenance team, overseeing preventative maintenance activities, carrying out and supporting electrical fault-finding and breakdown repairs, coordinating contractor activities, ensuring equipment inspections and maintenance records are kept up to date, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You
Candidates should have significant maintenance engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing, heavy industrial, or process environment, with some previous supervisory or team leadership responsibility. Strong electrical maintenance and diagnostic skills are important, and electrical installation, testing, or maintenance qualifications would be advantageous.
Experience with overhead cranes, hoists, or other heavy industrial equipment would be beneficial, along with a practical, organised, and proactive approach to maintenance operations.
What’s on Offer
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £38,000 - £45,000, on-call payments, a twice-yearly company bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension with contribution matching, life assurance, an employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts, a cycle-to-work scheme, PPE and equipment, long-service recognition, and free parking.
The position is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with shifts worked within a 06:00-22:00 operating window.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a secure and growing manufacturing business that can offer long-term stability, genuine responsibility, and future career progression within a supportive engineering environment.
