National Health & Safety Manager
Location:
Walsall, West Midlands (with UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Company Car or Allowance + Benefits

As the National Health & Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving a proactive health and safety culture across a diverse portfolio of live sites across the UK. You will be based from the company’s Walsall office but will be expected to travel nationwide on a regular basis, including occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead on all aspects of Health & Safety across multiple project sites nationwide.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure legal and best practice compliance.
Deliver toolbox talks and develop internal safety briefings.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organisation’s safety management systems, procedures, and policies.
Collaborate closely with project teams, operatives, and clients to maintain and promote high safety standards.
Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards – ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative measures are put in place.
Monitor occupational health trends and support initiatives that promote workforce wellbeing.
Key Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in a similar Health & Safety leadership role, ideally within construction or refurbishment environments.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Up-to-date knowledge of UK H&S legislation and industry best practices.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
The right to work in the UK and availability for a prompt start.
