About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality heritage restoration and conservation projects across the Midlands and surrounding regions. This is a senior role overseeing up to 10 live projects, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety, and conservation excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage up to 10 heritage restoration projects from pre-start through to completion

* Oversee project programmes, budgets, variations, and final accounts

* Lead and support Site Managers, subcontractors, and direct labour across multiple sites

* Ensure compliance with conservation best practice, health & safety, and quality standards

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, conservation officers, and supply chain

* Attend progress meetings and provide regular commercial and programme reporting

* Contribute to tender reviews, planning, and risk management

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager) within heritage restoration, conservation, or traditional construction

* Strong understanding of traditional materials and techniques (stone, brick, lime, timber, etc.)

* Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge

* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

* Confident managing multiple concurrent projects

* Full UK driving licence
