Are you an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager or Deputy Manager ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have a passion for delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people?
We're looking for an ambitious and compassionate Children's Home Manager to lead a residential children's home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance while creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
The RoleAs the Registered Children's Home Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, leading and developing your team while ensuring exceptional care and positive outcomes for every child.
You'll work closely with senior leadership, external professionals, and Ofsted to maintain a high-quality service that places children at the heart of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing residential care team.
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Regulations.
- Deliver outstanding care, safeguarding, and support for children and young people.
- Manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance.
- Monitor budgets and ensure the home operates efficiently.
- Build positive relationships with families, local authorities, and external agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement with the aim of achieving and maintaining Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
- Experience as a Registered Children's Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or in a senior leadership role within children's residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it).
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation.
- Proven leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
