Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home
Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 per annum (DOE) + Performance-Related Bonus Package
Home Size: New 2-bed Children's Residential Home (EBD)

- Existing Ofsted Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step into a Registered Manager position
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or currently working towards)
- Proven experience working within children's residential care, ideally supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
- Experience of Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 processes
- Good understanding of safeguarding and safer recruitment practices
- Track record of contributing towards Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes (preferred)
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to build, motivate and develop a high-performing residential team
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to commute to Walsall
- Lead the registration of the home with Ofsted and oversee the registration process
- Prepare the home for its first Ofsted inspection and drive positive inspection outcomes
- Recruit, lead and develop a high-quality residential staff team
- Create a positive, child-centred and trauma-informed culture from the outset
- Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements
- Develop and implement robust care planning, risk management and quality assurance systems
- Promote outstanding safeguarding practices across the service
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring high standards of care for children and young people
- Build effective relationships with local authorities, families and partner agencies
- Monitor performance, compliance and continuous improvement across the service
- Maintain accurate records, reports and regulatory documentation
- Ensure positive outcomes for children and young people through effective leadership and high-quality care
