CNC Setter Operator

Our client, a precision manufacturing business specializing in machining and assembly of high‑value components, is looking for two CNC Machinists to join their team.

Working within a lean production environment using lean methodologies you will be required to set and operate the CNC machines efficiently and effectively, producing quality components to satisfy customer requirements. Quality rather than quantity will be key here!

CNC Setter Operator – Permanent

Excellent salary + shift premium. Double day shift. Birmingham.

• Efficiently set up and operate CNC machine tools to required performance levels.
• Produce precision components in various batch sizes within tolerance and quality standards.
• Inspect parts using measuring equipment (CMM, verniers, micrometers).
• Read and interpret CNC programs, customer drawings, and make minor program edits when required.

• Experience and knowledge of setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Experience in 5‑axis machining / mill‑turns.
• FANUC experience.
• Small batch work (preferred).

• 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays).

Mornings (Monday – Thursday 5:45 am – 13:30 pm; Friday 5:45 am – 12:15 pm).

Afternoons (Monday – Thursday 13:15 pm – 21:00 pm; Friday 11:45 am – 18:15 pm).
