Hours:
Basic 8:00am-16.30pm Mon to Thurs, 8:00am-13.30pm Fridays (+ Overtime during week and weekends)
Start Date:

Duration: 3 months
PAYE Pay Rates:
1st 40 Hours Mon-Fri: £18.50/hr + £2.23/hr Holiday Pay = £20.73/hr
Over 40 Hours Mon-Fri: £24.66/hr
Sat All
Hours:
£27.75/hr
Sunday All
Hours:
£37.00/hr
The Role:
Integrate Engineering Resources is currently recruiting Plate Fitters to fabricate, assemble, and fit steel plates and structural components according to drawings and specifications. The role will involve work closely with welders and supervisors to ensure structures are accurately aligned, securely fitted, and ready for welding in a safe and efficient manner and duties will include:
-Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work instructions
-Lay out, position, align, and fit steel plates and structural components
-Measure, mark, and cut materials using hand tools and power tools
-Use clamps, jigs, wedges, and fixtures to hold components in place
-Check dimensions, alignment, and tolerances to ensure accuracy
-Work with welders to prepare assemblies for final welding
-Inspect fitted components for quality and compliance with specifications
-Follow all safety procedures and regulations
-Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
The pay rates will increase after a period of satisfactory performance and the role will lead to a permanent position for the right person.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Plate Fitter (shipyard or heavy industrial preferred)
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Knowledge of steel fabrication, structural assembly, and fitting methods
Experience using measuring tools (tape measure, squares, levels, etc.)
Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Welding knowledge or tack welding experience (preferred)
