Aldridge Permanent Up to 34,000 per annum 39 Hours per Week Early Finish Every Friday
Our client, a well-established and growing engineering business based in Aldridge, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.
Operating within the aerospace tooling sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with precision-engineered components and small batch production.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out goods inward inspections on components received from the supply chain.
- Supporting shop floor inspection activities, including first-off inspections and in-process checks.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conducting inspections using conventional measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, height gauges and other precision instruments.
- Performing CMM inspections and producing accurate inspection reports.
- Ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.
- Engineering background, ideally apprenticeship trained.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
- Experience with conventional inspection equipment such as micrometres, verniers and height gauges.
- CMM inspection experience is essential.
- Experience using QCT 3D PRO
64 software would be highly advantageous. - Knowledge of Renishaw PH10M probe head with TP20 module is desirable.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with small batch production.
- Aerospace, tooling, precision engineering or similar industry experience would be beneficial.
- Permanent position with a stable and reputable employer.
- Salary up to 34,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 39-hour working week.
- Early finish every Friday.
