About
The Role
Based at our Barrett Engineering Steel Willenhall Site, we are looking for a passionate and committed Warehouse/Saw Operative. The shift hours are Monday to Friday 6 am to 2 pm, then Monday to Friday 2 pm to 10 pm.
Responsibilities- Select computer‑generated orders and perform repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
- Accurately record stock movement and usage, identify products and use measuring equipment.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Transfer stock and operate saws, overhead cranes, forklifts, side loaders and side trackers after full training.
- Assist in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
- Be adaptable and flexible to meet operational requirements.
- Perform any ad hoc duties as required.

Essential Skills- Experience as a warehouse operative and ideally having used band saws.
- Proficiency in working safely, adhering to all health and safety procedures.
- Flexible attitude, results oriented and enjoys working in a team environment.
- Ability to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane).
- Capability to read written instructions and record accurately the work carried out.
- A full UK driving licence.
