This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established electrical manufacturing business that designs and builds high-quality control panels and automation systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in introducing new products into production, improving manufacturing processes and providing technical support across the business.
Details of a Production Engineer- Cheslyn Hay
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:15pm
- Friday, 8:00am - 12:00pm
- £28,000 - £43,000 per year (Depending on experience)
- Permanent
- Monthly paid
- Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing (NPI).
- Produce and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), production documentation and engineering data.
- Provide technical support throughout the manufacturing process.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Purchasing to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
- Investigate production issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
- Complete Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and maintain accurate engineering records.
- Ensure manufacturing information is accurate and available before production begins.
- Support engineering planning and workload management.
- Mentor apprentices and support the development of junior engineers.
- Previous experience as a Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or similar.
- Experience with in electrical manufacturing, control panels or industrial automation.
- Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Experience producing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing documentation.
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or equivalent is desirable.
- £28,000 - £43,000 per year
- Early finish every Friday
