FLT Counterbalance Driver - Willenhall
365 People are recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy operation in Willenhall.
This is a hands on role within a fast paced industrial environment, where safety, reliability and efficiency are key. You’ll be responsible for the safe movement, loading, unloading and storage of materials across the site.
The Role
* £14.00 per hour
* 4 days on / 4 days off
* 7-day operation – weekend work required
* Approximately 50% FLT / 50% manual work
The successful candidate must be comfortable with heavy lifting, manual handling and general yard duties, as well as operating the FLT. Safety, reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck in a busy industrial environment
* Load and unload vehicles in line with site procedures
* Willingness to work weekends as part of the 4-on/4-off rota
* Move, stack and organise products and materials throughout the yard and warehouse
* Complete daily FLT safety checks and report any defects immediately
* Ensure all materials are stored safely and correctly
* Support stock control and inventory management when required
* Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
* Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
* Assist with general yard duties when FLT work is not required
* Work closely with production and transport teams to meet operational targets
What We're Looking For
* A valid Accredited licence Counterbalance FLT licence
* Previous Counterbalance FLT experience within an industrial, manufacturing, environment - A minimum of 1 year experience is required and must be competent on the truck!
* A strong understanding of workplace health & safety
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work
* Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on yard environment
