Overview
Our client is seeking a Quality Inspector / Trainee Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with quality inspection experience or someone looking to develop a career within quality, in a production environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that products meet the required quality standards throughout the manufacturing process, from incoming materials through to finished goods.
What s on offer:
- Monday Thursday: 7:00am 4:00pm
Friday: 6:00am 3:00pm - £14.00 £ 14.50 per hour
(Salary is negotiable and will be dependent on experience and relevant skills.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Carry out dimensional inspections using a range of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Perform visual and functional inspections to identify defects, non-conformances, or quality concerns.
- Accurately complete and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Record and report non-conformances (NCRs) in line with company procedures.
- Maintain quality records, traceability documentation, and inspection data.
- Support continuous adherence to quality standards across the shop floor.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the manufacturing process.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM machinery.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection activities.
- Ability to accurately complete reports and quality records.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
