Quality Assurance & Practice Improvement Lead –  – Fixed Term for 12 Months

Overview

Walsall Children’s Services is looking for an experienced professional to lead quality assurance and practice improvement. The role focuses on sustaining an outstanding standard of support for children and families, delivering evidence‑based learning and continuous improvement across the Safeguarding and Review Service.

About the job

As part of the leadership team you will:

  • Lead quality assurance activities, analysing audit findings and feedback from children, families and partners to drive learning and improve outcomes.
  • Oversee the operational functions and strategic direction of the LADO service, ensuring practice is child‑focused and statutory compliant.
  • Collaborate with staff and external partners to embed a culture of learning and accountability within a high‑quality practice framework.
About you

You are an experienced children’s social care professional with strong knowledge of safeguarding, care planning, quality assurance and practice improvement. You possess substantial post‑qualifying experience, sound professional judgement and the ability to translate evidence into meaningful change.
