Quality Inspector Walsall Temp to Perm £14.00 £ 14.50 per hour Monday Thursday: 7:00am 4:00pm Friday: 6:00am 3:00pm Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Walsall. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment and will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process.

This is a hands on role suited to an experienced Quality Inspector who is confident using a range of inspection and measuring equipment and can work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.

Key Responsibilities Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet required quality standards and specifications. Carry out detailed dimensional inspections using verniers/calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment. Perform visual and functional inspections to identify defects, non-conformances, and quality concerns. Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements. Complete accurate inspection reports, quality records, and relevant documentation. Raise and record Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required and support investigations into quality issues.

Maintain accurate traceability and inspection records. Monitor quality throughout the manufacturing process and ensure standards are consistently maintained. Work closely with production and other departments to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions. Assist with root-cause investigations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure all inspection equipment is used correctly and maintained to the required standards. Follow company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety requirements at all times.

Requirements Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment is essential. Confident using a range of measuring equipment, including calipers/verniers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM machinery. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Good understanding of manufacturing quality standards and inspection processes. Experience identifying, recording, and reporting non-conformances. Strong attention to detail with a methodical and accurate approach.

Ability to maintain clear and accurate quality documentation and inspection records. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production teams. Ability to work independently and use initiative when identifying quality issues. A proactive approach to maintaining and improving quality standards.
