Buyer (FMCG) at Poundland & Dealz

Location:

Walsall, UK – Customer Support Centre, hybrid working model (3 days a week in office). Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week.

We are looking for a Buyer who has managed an FMCG category to join our team. You’ll take the lead on your assigned category, ensuring its success through effective planning, budgeting, and negotiating. This role is essential to our product journey – without you, customers wouldn’t be able to shop the ranges they love.

• Identify, create, and develop new range opportunities; lead the construction of robust plans.

• Visit suppliers and factories to develop ranges, negotiate cost of goods, and explore opportunities.
• Develop category strategies, including spend analysis and cost benchmarking.

• Experience delivering strategies with KPIs, budgeting and forecasting.
• Expert negotiator with strong relationships and spreadsheet skills.
• Comfortable with agile priorities and deep understanding of the sector and competitors.
• Thorough understanding of the Supply Chain Process.
