About the RoleWPS have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our Planned Maintenance team, supporting a long-term social housing client based in Walsall while traveling to jobs throughout the Midlands, mainly Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, and Lichfield.
This is a key role where you'll act as the main point of contact between residents, site teams, and the client ensuring works are delivered smoothly while maintaining a positive customer experience throughout.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for residents, keeping them informed before, during and after works
- Ensure residents fully understand the planned works programme and access requirements
- Build strong relationships with residents, site teams, and stakeholders
- Support the delivery of planned works programmes on time, safely, and to a high standard
- Manage and resolve complaints, concerns, and access issues in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate property access and highlight any vulnerable resident needs or adjustments required
- Attend and support resident meetings, community events, and client reviews
- Maintain accurate records and ensure clear communication across all parties
We're looking for someone who is customer‑focused, organized, and confident communicating with a wide range of people

- Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) or similar customer‑facing role within social housing or construction
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Good organisation and problem‑solving skills
- A full UK driving licence (essential due to travel across sites)
- A genuine passion for delivering a positive resident experience
- The ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a busy environment
