About the Role

WPS have an exciting opportunity for a Resident Liaison Officer to join our Planned Maintenance team, supporting a long-term social housing client based in Walsall while traveling to jobs throughout the Midlands, mainly Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, and Lichfield.

This is a key role where you'll act as the main point of contact between residents, site teams, and the client ensuring works are delivered smoothly while maintaining a positive customer experience throughout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for residents, keeping them informed before, during and after works
  • Ensure residents fully understand the planned works programme and access requirements
  • Build strong relationships with residents, site teams, and stakeholders
  • Support the delivery of planned works programmes on time, safely, and to a high standard
  • Manage and resolve complaints, concerns, and access issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Coordinate property access and highlight any vulnerable resident needs or adjustments required
  • Attend and support resident meetings, community events, and client reviews
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure clear communication across all parties
About You

We're looking for someone who is customer‑focused, organized, and confident communicating with a wide range of people

You Will Ideally Have
  • Previous experience as a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) or similar customer‑facing role within social housing or construction
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Good organisation and problem‑solving skills
  • A full UK driving licence (essential due to travel across sites)
