Position: Sales Director – Fabrication, Machining & Finishing
On behalf of our client, a successful and growing group of manufacturing businesses, we are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead the sales and commercial function for a well-established fabrication, machining, and finishing business based in Walsall.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of the sales and commercial function, driving new business development while strengthening relationships with existing key accounts. You'll set and deliver the commercial strategy for the site, working closely with operations to ensure sales growth is matched by capacity and capability. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who can build, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, while also remaining close to the customer base and the wider market.

What Our Client Is Looking For

The successful candidate will have proven sales leadership experience gained within the manufacturing sector, with a strong track record of driving commercial growth.

Experience with in fabrication, machining, or finishing environments would be advantageous but is not essential — what matters most is a genuine understanding of manufacturing sales cycles and the ability to lead a commercial function with credibility and confidence. This role will be based on site in Walsall, so candidates should be comfortable working closely with the operational team day to day.
