If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our friendly, supportive Client Welfare Services Team as a Finance Officer.

Client Welfare Services Team support clients who fall within the Adult Social Care directorate who are either vulnerable and/or have reduced capacity and require support to manage their own finances.
You will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective financial administration support service for clients who fall within the Adult Social Care directorate as their appointee or Court appointed Deputy.
The role will also be responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the court of protection application process and support service.
You will be responsible for making court of protection applications to the Court and for deciding on what decisions to include in each application for the court to provide authority for.
This role will also include being responsible for applying for and maximizing benefits, therefore a good understanding of the welfare and benefits system is essential for this role, however training will be provided.
You will complete regular reviews of the client’s finances, pay invoices and provide personal monies in a timely accurate manner. This will also include contacting providers such as utility companies, care providers, housing organisation’s, liaising with Adult Social Care colleagues and the client’s wider support network such as family and friends.
The role requires excellent organisational and customer care skills with the ability to manage competing demands and workloads.
