Senior Social Worker,
G10: £47,181 - £50,269 per annum
About the roleAn exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist Social Worker to join the Youth in Sight team. The team works with adolescents aged 10-18 years who present with complex mental health or emotional dysregulation, including those with repeat hospital admissions. Your role will support families to keep young people safely within their family home, providing therapeutic care and early intervention.
Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to statutory assessments, planning and reviews, promoting participation, consultation and co-production with young people and families.
- Collaborate with the wider partnership to secure holistic support, adopting a ‘Think Family’ approach.
- Advocate on behalf of the young person and their family and deliver therapeutic interventions to strengthen family resilience.
- Communicate openly and transparently with children, young people and families, ensuring their voice is heard in decisions.
- Support ASYE social workers through reflective conversations, guidance and co‑working.
- Participate in group supervisions every four weeks and contribute to the Valuing Care Tool.
- Minimum of 2 years post‑qualifying experience working with children and families with varied needs and vulnerabilities.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated commitment to practice development and continued professional development.
- Experience conducting statutory assessments, planning, reviews and therapeutic interventions in a child and family context.
- Access to specialist training commissioned by the Practice Development Hub.
- Clinical supervision and retention payments after 2 years in service.
- Progressive pension scheme, 28 days annual leave (pro‑rata) plus 5 additional days after 5 years of service.

- Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
