What you will do:
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver on‑site youth sessions, programmes, and outreach activities tailored to the local needs
  • Engage and support young people aged 11–19 (up to 25 with SEND), promoting participation, personal development, and positive outcomes
  • Undertake risk assessments and ensure all activities comply with health and safety and safeguarding procedures
  • Identify vulnerable young people and contribute to early intervention strategies in line with the Children Act 1989/2004
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, schools, police, and community services as part of a multi‑agency approach
Qualifications:
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in Youth Work, Children & Young People, or related field
  • JNC‑recognised qualification in Youth Work (desirable)
Registration & Compliance:
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding practices and statutory guidance including Working Together to Safeguard Children
  • Understanding of relevant legislation including Children Act and Equality Act 2010
