We are looking for a Family & Multi‑agency Liaison Co‑ordinator (Safeguarding Responsibilities) to join our team.
Responsibilities- Act as a member of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Team, responding to safeguarding and child protection concerns.
- Maintain accurate safeguarding and child protection records in line with statutory guidance and local authority requirements.
- Support safeguarding monitoring, reporting, and compliance across the school.
- Deliver safeguarding and child protection training to staff.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social care, education, health, and support services.
- Lead and coordinate Early Help support for families, including chairing meetings and reviews.
- Support parents and carers in promoting pupil wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and educational engagement.
- Provide direct family support, advice, advocacy, and signposting to relevant services.
- Act as a key link between home and school, promoting positive relationships and effective communication.
- Monitor pupil attendance, follow up absences, undertake welfare checks, and implement attendance improvement strategies.
- Support pupils experiencing emotional, attendance, safeguarding, or transition‑related difficulties.
- Represent the voice of the child and advocate on behalf of pupils where appropriate.
- Generate referrals and coordinate support from external professionals and agencies.
- Conduct home visits where necessary to support pupils and families.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, interventions, and outcomes.
- Review and evaluate support provided to pupils and families to ensure positive impact.
- Contribute to safeguarding policy development and ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, confidentiality, and data protection requirements.
- Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.
- Previous safeguarding and child protection experience.
- Experience of multi‑agency working and partnership collaboration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff and external agencies.
- Good organisational, problem‑solving and record‑keeping skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
- Competent in the use of ICT systems and maintaining confidential records.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.

Grade 7 SCP 22‑27
