Join Our Community Learning Disabilities Team

Experienced Social Worker: (Grade G9)– Learning Disabilities Team
Grade G9: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum

We are currently looking for three experienced Social Workers to join our well established, highly experienced and supportive Community Learning Disabilities Team in Walsall.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a strengths-based, person-centred service that supports adults with diagnosed learning disabilities to achieve positive outcomes, maximise independence, and live the lives they choose.

The successful candidates must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be actively registered with Social Work England. Applicants should have a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience working within Adult Social Care.

The Role

As a Social Worker within our Community Learning Disabilities Team, you will:

  • Undertake strengths-based assessments in accordance with the Care Act 2014.

  • Complete mental capacity assessments in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act

  • Develop, implement and review person-centred care and support plans.

  • Work collaboratively with health colleagues, care providers, families and partner agencies.

  • Lead safeguarding enquiries and contribute to positive risk management.

  • Support adults with learning disabilities to promote choice, independence and wellbeing.

  • Maintain high-quality recording and evidence-based practice in line with professional standards and local procedures.
