* Location:

** Reporting in the morning to Clean & Green Depot and then completing routes out in the public areas within the Walsall Borough.

** Pay Rate:** £14.82 per hour PAYE

* Hours:

** 37 hours per week   
** Shift Pattern:
** 6:30am - 4:30pm, 4 days on between Monday - Friday / 1 rest day per week.

* Contract:

** Temporary basis, 3 months on-going.
** About the Role
** Opus People Solutions are currently recruiting for a
** Street Cleansing Operative
** with a strong focus on operating a mini road sweeper on behalf of our Client, Walsall Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to join a dedicated environmental services team.

You will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness across public roads and spaces, helping to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
** Key Responsibilities
** Duties include but are not limited to:
* Operating a mini road sweeper across designated routes
* Street cleansing services and litter picking
* Street weed control
* Removal of fly tipping
* Play area inspections, reporting, and basic maintenance
* Graffiti removal
* Vegetation control
* Mechanical sweeping operations
* Bulky item collection services
* Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any faults
* Working independently and as part of a team
* Adhering to all health and safety regulations
** Requirements
* ** Full UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement
* No more than 3 points on your licence
* Previous experience operating similar vehicles, Street Cleansing and Grounds Maintenance Operative roles are desirable but not essential
* Good work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work early morning shifts and outdoors in all weather conditions
