Our client, a leading UK manufacturer, is looking for a Driver / General Operative to join their team in Walsall, combining delivery driving with a range of hands-on operational duties.

* Full-Time, Permanent
 * £13.30 per hour
 
* Hours 6am - 2pm Monday to Thursday and 6am - 1pm Friday (plus overtime as required).

About the Role

They are looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver / General Operative to join the team in Walsall on a full-time basis.
This is a varied role combining delivery driving duties with general operational tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for making deliveries using a company pick-up vehicle and supporting the day-to-day operations of the business as required.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Deliver goods safely and efficiently using a company pick-up vehicle.
 
* Carry out vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and roadworthy.
 
* Assist with general operative duties within the business.
 
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
 
* Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers.
Requirements
Essential
 
* Full clean UK driving licence.
 
* Proven experience driving pick-up vehicles.
 
* Good driving history with no major endorsements.
 
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
 
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 
* Good communication skills.
Desirable
 
* Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or construction-related environment.
 
* Forklift licence (if applicable).
Hours
 
* Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm
 
* Friday 6am - 1pm
Additional hours / overtime will be required to suit the demands of the business.
