Position: Hgv Class 1 Driver - £18 - £19.4 An Hour

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – WILLENHALL, WEST MIDLANDS People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver – Willenhall, West Midlands to join our well-established client based in Willenhall, West Midlands. This role would suit candidates who have experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Driver, or Class 1 Delivery Driver. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a well-known supplier of household goods, offering plenty of ongoing work and long-term opportunities.

Shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Start times between 03:00 – 06:00 (days) and 12:00 – 16:00 (afternoons) - Some weekend availability required Rates of Pay - £18.00 per hour (Days) - £19.39 per hour(Nights) Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive:

- Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

- Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
- Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensuring all loads are loaded and secured correctly
- Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
- Maintaining accurate records of shipments, mileage and fuel consumption
- Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assisting with loading and unloading of goods as required
- Completing between 8 to 10 store deliveries using rolled cages Essential Skills As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

- Valid UK Category CE (Class
1) driving licence
- Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles
- Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Experience operating various trailer types
- Punctual with excellent time-keeping
- Effective communication skills
- Flexible and available to work overtime when required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience driving commercial vehicles Training Provided
