HGV Driver

HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E Driver

Location:

Walsall.

• Collect and deliver shipping containers to and from UK ports and customer locations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time.
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and electronic records.
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding schedules and any delays.
• Provide excellent customer service at all delivery and collection points.

• Valid UK HGV1/LGV1/Class1/Class One/Category C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous container driving experience is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers' hours regulations.
• A professional, reliable, and flexible attitude.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN convictions).
• Held your Category C+E Licence for a minimum of 2 years.

• Hourly rate between £22.41 and £24.41 per hour (assignment rate via FCSA approved umbrella company on a PAYE basis). Also option of inhouse PAYE if preferred.
