Stock Control Clerk

About The Role

Join us at Poundland & Dealz as a Stock Control Clerk based at our Wigan Distribution Centre.

You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of stock across our distribution centre, helping to keep products moving efficiently through our operation and into our stores. Working closely with warehouse, logistics and supply chain teams, you will help maintain accurate inventory records, investigate stock discrepancies and support the smooth running of our stock control processes.

• Week 1:
  Saturday, Sunday, Monday – 19:00 to 07:00
• Week 2:
  Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – 19:00 to 07:00

• Monitor stock levels and carry out stock counts and cycle counts.
• Investigate variances and maintain accurate records using our warehouse management systems.
• Support goods‑in and goods‑out processes and ensure stock is stored safely and correctly.
• Generate stock reports and assist with audits and compliance activities.
• Analyze data, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues.

• Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, warehouse administration or logistics.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Experience using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
