The Business Development Director identifies, pursues and secures new business opportunities, particularly with chain restaurant clients, to drive revenue growth and expand market presence within the food service industry across North America. They are responsible for sales strategy development, client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation. This person will help drive our market expansion, reach new and existing produce food service operators, and build new growth.

- Contact potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings, conduct intro/follow‑up calls, hold face‑to‑face meetings, and produce paperwork for signature.
- Schedule and run webinars.
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets; identify, pursue, and qualify new leads.
- Follow through to a successful agreement.
- Understand target markets, including industry, company, project, contacts, and market strategies to attract clients.
- Increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
- Find and develop new markets and improve sales.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Collaborate with support and sales teams to ensure requirements are met.
- Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects within the assigned area.
- Develop quotes and proposals for clients.
- Establish and achieve goals.
- Major focus will be new business across all sectors of the platform.
- Keep all potential and current client/lead information current using CRM.
- Ensure sufficient research before engagement.
- Guide potential new clients through paperwork to expedite closing; organize and submit paperwork.
- 3+ years of restaurant/food service sales experience.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
- Strong understanding of our products, competition in the industry, and positioning.
- Efficient, detail‑oriented, and well organized.
- Strong communication and relationship‑management skills.
- Ability to explain complex information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
- Desire to be part of a small, motivated team that serves the best interests of clients.
- Hard‑working with a “do‑what‑it‑takes” attitude.
- Flexibility and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Aspiring to a successful career in the food service industry.

- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
