Zenas is advancing two late-stage, potential franchise molecules, obexelimab and orelabrutinib. Obexelimab, Zenas’ lead product candidate, is a bifunctional monoclonal antibody designed to bind both CD19 and FcγRIIb, which are broadly present across B cell lineage, to inhibit the activity of cells that are implicated in many autoimmune diseases without depleting them. We believe that obexelimab’s unique mechanism of action and self-administered, subcutaneous injection regimen may broadly and effectively address the pathogenic role of B cell lineage in chronic autoimmune disease.

Orelabrutinib is a potentially best-in-class, highly selective CNS-penetrant, oral, small molecule Bruton’s Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) inhibitor with the potential to address compartmentalized inflammation and disease progression in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Zenas’ earlier stage programs include ZB021, a clinical-stage, potentially best-in-class, oral, IL-17AA/AF inhibitor; ZB022, a preclinical, potentially best-in-class, oral, brain-penetrant, TYK2 inhibitor; and ZB014, a preclinical half-life extended anti-CD-19 and FcγRIIb monoclonal antibody.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VP Finance & Corporate Controller, the Director, Revenue Accounting is a highly visible individual contributor role and the company’s subject matter expert, responsible for establishing and executing revenue recognition, gross-to-net (GTN), and accounts receivable accounting in advance of, and following, Zenas’ anticipated commercial launch. In the months leading up to launch, the Director will build on the gross-to-net foundation already in place, applying deep biotech and life sciences expertise to refine and finalize the accounting policies, estimation methodologies, internal controls, and system and data requirements needed to deliver accurate and timely product revenue reporting;

after launch, the Director will own the order-to-cash accounting process and serve as the technical authority on revenue and GTN matters. The Director will partner closely with FP&A, Market Access, Government Pricing, Commercial Operations, and third-party partners, influencing decisions while applying technical expertise, commercial judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset in a dynamic, innovation-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the technical authority for revenue recognition and gross-to-net accounting: build on established processes ahead of commercial launch by challenging, refining, and finalizing revenue recognition policies and estimation methodologies, validating ASC 606 variable consideration and constraint analyses, and identifying and closing gaps before the first commercial sale.
