Construction Laborer

As a Commercial Construction Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting the construction team by performing a variety of physical tasks and duties on commercial construction sites. Your responsibilities will encompass tasks such as site preparation, equipment operation, material handling, and general construction assistance. A strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety are essential in this role.

Self-Performance Division Ops

Full-time, in person.

• Assist in site preparation by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up barriers as needed.
• Operate construction equipment, such as forklifts, skid steers, and loaders, to transport materials and equipment around the site.
• Handle and transport construction materials, tools, and supplies to various work areas as directed by the supervisor.
• Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters and masons, with tasks that require additional manpower.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as measuring, cutting, and nailing lumber, under the guidance of experienced craftsmen.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of construction site safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Clean and maintain construction sites on an ongoing basis, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles, taking care to prevent damage to items and equipment.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on workplace safety.

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting, carrying, and manual labor, for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and materials, along with a willingness to learn and improve skills.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse construction crews.

• Prolonged periods standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to safely work with sharp tools or power equipment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
• Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Must have driver’s license and own transportation.
