Job Description Summary The Modern Languages Department at Bentley University is accepting applications to build a pool of instructors for possible future part‑time Adjunct Lecturer, Spanish assignments. The department chairperson will review applications as vacancies become available.
Primary Responsibilities- Teach Spanish Basic and Intermediate courses (MLSP
101, MLSP
102, MLSP
201, and MLSP
202). - Create an effective classroom environment that fosters students’ curiosities and abilities to practice their language skills.
- Deliver course content that meets learning outcomes and encourages students’ active participation in the classroom and beyond.
- Promote the study of languages.
- Collaborate in the development and continued assessment of learning outcomes for use in program reviews and curriculum revision.
- Hold office hours.
MA required. Native or near-native competency in Spanish is required.
Preferred QualificationsPhD preferred.
Pay TransparencyFor the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course. Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
