Associate Solutions Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Support quoting, data organization, and creation of technical documentation for complex customer programs, including BOMs, RFQs, and specification reviews.
- Assist with internal cost‑modeling and quoting‑tool development to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with supplier communication, tracking of quality documents, and other aspects of the solution lifecycle from award through delivery.
- Participate in cross‑functional meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of the full solution lifecycle, bridging engineering, sales, and operations.
- Lead a capstone mini‑project aimed at enhancing process efficiency, such as automating a quoting workflow, developing a reporting dashboard, or streamlining a documentation process.
- Learn to answer basic customer technical questions related to DFx (Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Cost Reduction, etc.) and Xometry’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Foundational expertise in CNC machining, additive manufacturing, or injection molding.
- Less than 3 years of engineering or technical experience (including internships or co‑ops).
- Experience or coursework in CAD software (Solid Works preferred).
- Experience in interpreting manufacturing drawings and GD&T.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multi‑line data (Excel, Google Sheets, or ERP/CRM systems).
- Effective communication and team collaboration with a strong interest in bridging engineering and business.
- Self‑motivated and driven with the ability to manage assignments with minimal oversight and a desire to learn the custom manufacturing industry.
Base salary range: $63,000 – $82,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and skills.
